Fadian Cove

Along the Mangilao coastline are a series of four small coves below rugged limestone cliffs, the furthest south of these coves is Fadian Cove. This hike has a rating of medium difficulty. We begin with grandiose views north of the coastline and ascend a steep slope through rough limestone forest to arrive at Fadian Cove. Once at the cove we can cool off in the calm waters which are excellent for snorkeling. Please join us and don’t forget your swim suits, snorkeling gear, and some snacks for relaxing at the cove!

Fonte Dam

This gorgeous hike is not just a dam. Rated at a medium difficulty, Fonte dam is a surreal experience. A picturesque spill way overflows against imported red brick amongst a back drop of lush wild jungle. Imagine how strange it must seem to be trekking through natural jungle growth until suddenly a vast man made structure appears before you in the midst of what seems a completely uncivilized area. Pictures of this image turn out incredible. Constructed in 1910 under President Taft to supply the city of Hagatna with water, this historic landmark is just one of Guam’s many hidden treasures. Come join us on the hike to Fonte dam.

Mount Sasalaguan
Saturday December 15, 8a.m.

You are in for a good long and difficult climb with dramatic views of the southern mountains and Cocos Lagoon on this hike to Mount Sasalaguan. This trek is 4.2 miles in length, 960 feet up and 960 feet down requiring a minimum of roughly four hours hiking time and two hours travel time, so please bring plenty of water, sun screen, and snacks. Sun exposure is at its maximum during this hike and because “Sasalaguan” in Chamorro means “hell”, you may feel like you hiked from hell and back after this fantastic and scenic workout!

Priest Pools

This day is intended to be a fun filled family oriented day trip in spirit of the season. Two scenic spots await us at the south end of the island and both hikes are rated as easy. Our first stop is Priest Pools also called “Nature’s Own Swimming Pools”, a cascading series of eight multi-depth pools flow out of the Pigua River and into the ocean. Don’t forget your swimming suits! Our second stop will be Toguam Bay, for a quiet and easy ocean beach walk along the scenic coastline of southwest Guam. Snorkeling gear is an excellent option on this second of two beautiful stops.
